The program went live August 8, 2017 and hopes to enhance the patient experience through increased and quicker access to specialists.
“This partnership will enable our patients to have immediate access to specialists through telemedicine,” said John Jacobson, Interim CEO and Chief Financial Officer of Martin General. “The technologically advanced process will allow a specialist to perform a physical examination of the patient over the internet. The specialist can then consult with the treating physician about the best treatment plan for the patient.”
