Lafayette General Health taps American Well

Lafayette (La.) General Health has partnered with American Well to expand its telemedicine services for non-emergency needs and chronic condition management.

The health system currently hosts telemedicine clinics at four local sites, including Lafayette (La.) Consolidated Government and Breaux Bridge, La.-based St. Martin Parish School System. Lafayette General Health plans to strengthen the technology at these locations before rolling out new services.

Through the collaboration with American Well, Lafayette General Health plans to expand by securing telemedicine services with a local prison system, partnering with additional schools and large employers and developing an app to provide individuals with telemedicine at home.
