Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health is launching a virtual nursing program in partnership with Equum Medical, a virtual care-enabled clinical services provider, and AvaSure, a virtual care platform.
Virtual nurses will assist with admission support, mentoring and discharge support, allowing on-site clinicians to focus more on high-acuity patient care, according to an April 8 news release.
The program will begin in the health system’s medical-surgical unit, with plans to expand enterprise-wide.
