Cricket Health tapped former Optum Health executive Ryan Jacobs as its chief commercial officer.

Three details:

  1. Cricket Health is a kidney care company that delivers support through telehealth and by phone, according to an Oct. 27 news release. At the company, Mr. Jacobs will oversee commercial strategy, growth, network development and marketing.

  2. Mr. Jacobs most recently served as a vice president of OptumHealth's population health business, where he led market strategy and commercialization.

  3. "Ryan brings a strong desire to better people’s lives along with more than two decades of experience in the population health, value-based care, healthcare consulting, and digital health spaces," CEO Robert Sepucha said. "We are thrilled to have him join our team at such a critical time, as we work closely with nephrology practices and payers to best serve Medicare and commercial populations."
