Cone Health adds video platform to tele-ICU

Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health deployed Yorktel’s Univago HE as the video platform in its tele-intensive care unit.

Yorktel’s Univago HE is a two-way audio and video communications system launched directly from the Epic EHR. Cone Health integrated the solution into its virtual care service, eLink. ELink offers expanded care for critically ill patients in five Cone Health locations. With the integration of the Univago HE platform, Cone Health’s tele-ICU will provide seamless and high-quality video and audio as well as intuitive user interface.

Cone Health includes six hospitals, three ambulatory care centers, three outpatient surgery centers, three urgent care centers, a retirement community as well as a 100-plus physician practice sites. ELink has served patients for 12 years.
