American Telemedicine Association elects board officers

The American Telemedicine Association named new officers to its board of directors.

Here are the five new individuals filling executive committee positions.

1. President: Peter Yellowlees, MD, professor of clinical psychiatry and the vice chair of faculty development at UC Davis in Sacramento.

2. President-elect: Andrew Watson, MD, vice president of clinical IT transformation for the international division and medical director of telemedicine at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

3. Vice president: Kristi Henderson, DNP, vice president of virtual care and innovation at Seton Healthcare Family in Austin, Texas

4. Secretary: John Glaser, PhD, senior vice president of population health at Cerner

5. Treasurer: Alexis Gilroy, partner at Jones Day

ATA also added two general members to its board of directors: Bart Demaerschalk, MD, chair of the division of cerebrovascular diseases and medical director of telemedicine at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, and Christopher Northam, DNP, vice president of telehealth at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA.
