Allina Health, Epic-backed KeyCare to increase telehealth access for patients

Minneapolis-based Allina Health will use Epic's virtual care company KeyCare to increase its telehealth access for patients.

Under the partnership, KeyCare's virtual healthcare providers gain access to the health system's patient data to complete encounter details on its platform, according to an April 17 press release from KeyCare.

The platform also allows healthcare organizations to update patients' records and track their virtual visits.

"Our partnership with KeyCare enables us to increase access to our telehealth services and provide patients with care when and where they need it, including overnight or when they are out of state, without disrupting any of the technology and operations we currently have in place," said Jennifer McAnnany, RN, director of Operations for urgent Care, virtual care and convenience care at Allina Health.
