UPS announced in October its plans to combine all of its healthcare and life sciences operations into a single division with the goal of providing supply chain management, clinical trials and other critical healthcare service operations.
Mr. Wheeler is the CEO of Marken, a UPS subsidiary that will be part of the new unit along with 114 healthcare-dedicated facilities, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. He previously worked for Exxon Research and Engineering and GlaxoSmithKline and has been the CEO of three drug companies.
