John Mikesic has been named chief supply chain officer of Washington, D.C.-based Children’s Hospital Association.
Mr. Mikesic most recently served as executive director of supply chain at the Columbia-based University of Missouri Health Care.
In his new role, Mr. Mikesic will oversee the association’s supply chain strategy and cost savings across a portfolio of products and services, such as pediatric medical and surgical supplies, according to an Oct. 28 association news release shared with Becker’s. He will also work with two of the organization’s partners, Vizient and the Pediatric Alliance Executive Committee, to build supply chain quality and integrity.
“My goal is to work with our members and partners to reduce costs for every hospital we work with,” Mr. Mikesic said in the release. “Children’s hospitals are keeping the next generation healthy and I look forward to supporting their work.”
