Teleflex sells large portion of respiratory device unit to Medline for $286M

Teleflex has sold a significant portion of its respiratory device business to Medline for $286 million in cash, the company said June 28.

The Wayne, Pa.-based devicemaker said the respiratory device product line generated $139 million in revenue in 2020. 

Teleflex expects a revenue headwind of $28 million to $32 million in 2021 as a result of the deal. The company said it intends to use money from the deal with Medline to pay down its debt and support growth.
