ROi acquires Healthcare Purchasing Alliance: 4 things to know

St. Louis-based Mercy Health’s supply chain organization Resource Optimization & Innovation on Friday acquired Orlando, Fla.-based Healthcare Purchasing Alliance.

Here are four things to know.

  1. Orlando Health and Clermont, Fla.-based South Lake Hospital previously owned HPA, which is a group purchasing organization.
  1. Through the deal, HPA will become a wholly owned subsidiary of ROi and operate as a separate entity.
  1. Orlando Health and South Lake Hospital agreed to a seven-year GPO membership term with ROi, while also maintaining their HPA membership.
  1. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
