Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health is deploying Tecsys’ Hospital Point of Use technology across its 19 acute care and specialty hospitals to improve visibility into product use at the point of care.
The deployment extends Prisma Health’s existing Tecsys supply chain technology platform, according to a Sept. 9 news release. The health system first implemented the Tecsys platform in August 2020 with its Warehouse Management System. Its Pharmacy Inventory Management System is set to go live later this year.
The Hospital Point of Use technology captures product consumption at the bedside and in procedural areas in real time. Tecsys said its Warehouse Management System, Pharmacy Inventory Management System and Hospital Point of Use solutions provide a connected view of medical supplies and medications from the receiving dock to the bedside.
Tecsys solutions will also support Prisma Health’s 112-bed behavioral health hospital under construction near Easley, S.C., which is scheduled to open in 2027.
