Here are four things to know.
1. A spokesman for Genentech, which sells Tamiflu, last week told GHN “we have a robust national supply of Tamiflu.”
2. However, increased demand for the flu medication has left pharmacies with low supplies, especially for the children’s version of Tamiflu in liquid form.
3. CDC spokeswoman Kristen Nordlund said “people may have to call around to different pharmacies” to get the drug, according to GHN.
4. Some larger pharmacy chains are also turning to smaller retailers to stock up on Tamiflu.
