Medline to acquire Centurion Medical Products: 4 things to know

Medline will purchase Centurion Medical Products for an undisclosed amount, the company said Wednesday.

Here are four things to know.

1. Centurion, which owns five manufacturing facilities in the U.S., is best known for its SorbaView Shield securement systems and Compass pressure monitoring technologies, among other medical products.

2. The deal will allow Medline to offer a full set of vascular access products to coincide with its minor procedure tray offerings and infection prevention products.

3. Centurion will continue to operate independently as a subsidiary of Medline after the acquisition.

4. Medline expects the deal to close in early December.
