Medline has begun construction on a 1.2 million-square-foot distribution center in Midlothian, Texas, marking the company’s first major operational initiative since going public in December.
The project expands Medline’s national network of 45 distribution centers and adds a second site in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, according to a March 11 news release. The new facility will complement the company’s existing location in Wilmer, Texas, and is expected to be fully operational in the second quarter of 2027.
The medical supply company said the Midlothian center will incorporate advanced technologies used at its other large sites, including AutoStore’s automated storage and retrieval system. The facility will serve hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, physician offices, nursing homes and hospices across the region.
