Johnson & Johnson MedTech has established the Polyphonic AI Fund for Surgery, an initiative focused on developing artificial intelligence tools to improve surgical care.
The fund will support projects in AI model development, data management and governance, according to a June 25 news release from the company.
The effort includes participation from Nvidia and Amazon Web Services, platforms that support AI infrastructure and cloud-based data capabilities, the release said.
The program builds on prior work between Johnson & Johnson MedTech and Nvidia to use AI in surgical data analysis, including in tools for surgical training, data annotation and workflow efficiency.
