The devicemaker plans to update the ventilators with a newly developed software version, which will reduce the probability of the ventilator entering an ambient state.
Hamilton Medical had already issued safety alerts to the users of the ventilators over the error, which presented a “panel connection lost” message.
There have been several reports of the user message error, but no patient injury or harm has been reported, according to the company.
