Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services is advancing plans for a $100 million centralized laboratory in Roseville, Minn., that will expand its diagnostic testing capacity.
The 125,000-square-foot laboratory is expected to open in the first quarter of 2028, according to a Sept. 28 news release. It will increase Fairview’s testing capacity by nearly 2 million tests annually and provide space for evolving laboratory technologies and specialized testing, including histology.
The facility will bring together laboratory capabilities that currently operate across multiple locations. Fairview said the centralized model is designed to create more integrated workflows and reduce unnecessary movement and handoffs of specimens between locations.
