Beaumont Health sells home medical equipment business

Southfield, Mich.-based Beaumont Health has sold its home medical equipment business to Cleveland-based Medical Service Co., according to Crain's Detroit Business.

Under the deal, Medical Service Co. acquired Beaumont's six medical home equipment offices. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The sale is the third post-acute care business divestiture by Beaumont this year, according to the report.

In January, Beaumont sold 90 percent of its home health and hospice business to Kettering, Ohio-based Alternate Solutions Health Network, a for-profit provider.
