The insurer will use Caremark to manage commercial and Medicare plans over the three-year contract, according to the Aug. 16 announcement. Caremark will replace Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts’ current partner, Express Scripts.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts said the agreement will result in 10-15 percent in pharmacy savings over three years.
