Allergan revenue up 12% in Q4: 5 things to know

Allergan recorded strong financial performance in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2017, which ended Dec. 31.

Here are five things to know.

1. Allergan generated $4.33 billion in net revenue for the fourth quarter, marking a 12 percent increase from the same quarter a year prior.

2. This increase was largely driven by strong sales for Botox, which garnered $228.4 million in net revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2017.

3. Allergan reported total net revenues of $15.94 billion for fiscal year 2017 — a 9.4 percent increase from the previous fiscal year. 

4. The drugmaker recorded $3.05 billion in net profit for the fourth quarter of 2017, according to Retuers.

5. Allergan also reported a $2.8 billion gain in the fourth quarter of 2017 due to the federal tax law enacted in December.
