  1. Cambridge, Mass.-based Sarepta Therapeutics’ drug eteplirsen represents the first approved treatment for Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy.
  2. Lomaira is intended to help obese and overweight patients lose weight.
  3. India-based AuroBindo Pharma’s drug dolutegravir is intended to treat patients with HIV.
  4. Kyleena is a T-shaped intrauterine device that releases levonorgestrel, a hormone that stops the womb lining from thickening and consequently prevents pregnancy.
  5. Taiwan-based Medeon Biodesign developed a port site closure device called AbClose.
  6. Belgium-based Janssen Pharmaceuticals’ drug Invokamet XR may now be used as a first-line treatment to improve glycemic control in diabetic adults.
