4 survey insights into how physicians think Amazon will alter prescribing practices

Sixty-one percent of physicians in the U.S. agree Amazon will help reduce the cost of medications, according to a recent survey by DRG Digital.

For the survey, DRG Digital polled U.S. physicians about their attitudes toward Amazon's expected entrance into the healthcare industry.

Here are three more insights into how physicians think Amazon's services will influence their prescribing practices.

1. Fifty-seven percent of physicians indicated they would use a voice assistant app from the pharmaceutical industry to order samples.

2. Sixty-three percent of physicians reported concern related to the privacy and security implications of using voice search in their practices.

3. Forty-three percent of physicians believe the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning will reduce their prescribing autonomy over time.
