3 latest FDA approvals

Here are the three latest drugs or medical devices approved by the FDA since June 29:

1. Aristada Initio is an alternative, extended-release version of Aristada, a long-acting injectable antipsychotic used to treat adults with schizophrenia. 

2. The Zephyr Endobronchial Valve is implanted into a patient’s lung to treat breathing issues associated with severe emphysema.

3. Xeomin is intended to treat chronic sialorrhea, or excessive drooling, in adults.
