12 health systems awarded for supply chain excellence in 2023

Plymouth Meeting, Pa.-based nonprofit organization, the Emergency Care Research Institute, has released its 2023 list of health systems demonstrating excellence on their end of the medical supply chain.

This year, only two of the 2023 health systems are repeats from ECRI's 2022 list. The two are both Florida-based systems — Broward Health and Jackson Health System.

"These top-performing organizations have successfully navigated ongoing disruptions in the global supply chain market using ECRI’s data-driven, evidence-based services," Marcus Schabacker, MD, PhD, president and CEO of ECRI said in the Aug. 2 news release.

ECRI partners with more than 3,000 hospitals and health systems in the U.S. for sourcing and supply chain needs. To determine the top performers, the organizations analyzed upward of $60 billion in supply and capital spend from these systems over the last year.
