The system did not announce the name change. In an email to LancasterOnline, UPMC spokesperson Kelly McCall said similar changes were made at other UPMC Pinnacle hospitals, which are now named UPMC Carlisle in Cumberland County, Pa.; UPMC Hanover (Pa.); and UPMC Memorial in York County, Pa.

“There are no changes to hospital management, and all hospitals continue to be part of UPMC Pinnacle,” Ms. McCall told LancasterOnline. She said the board voted to move forward with the changes “as we work to showcase UPMC’s attributes that make it a world-class healthcare system in our region.”

UPMC Lititz has plans in place to change signs and marketing to reflect the change.
