Physicians Unite, Form Physician Alliance of Kansas

A group of 231 primary care and specialty physicians formed the Physician Alliance of Kansas and are applying to be a Medicare accountable care organization, according to a Wichita Business Journal report.

The new group, formed by physicians in Wichita, Derby and Newton, has a physician board of directors and a physician-led executive committee. The group is in the process of completing its Medicare Shared Saving Program application, which is due in July, according to the report.
