The health system said an accrediting agency recommended reinstating a mask requirement based on data about the community transmission of COVID-19 in Jefferson County. The mandate is in place for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, and the health system did not give a timeline for lifting it.

Norton’s plans to require masks come days after UofL Health announced plans to end mask requirements on Jan. 30.
