Virtua Opens Spa as Part of Population Health Efforts

Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua health system will open a spa within its health and wellness center in Moorestown, N.J., later this month, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report.

The for-profit spa, called “vir tú” will offer facials, massages and audio therapy, among other services. The report called the spas “at the extreme end of Virtua’s effort to focus more on keeping the population it serves healthy.”

Richard P. Miller, President and CEO of Virtua, said: “Part of disease management is stress management as well. It’s part of experimentation.”
