SCL Health System Joint Venture Acquires Home Health Company

The joint venture between Denver-based SCL Health System and Scottsdale, Ariz.-based home care management company Univita Health has acquired All Care Home Health.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Denver-based All Care provides home health, skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and social work services throughout the metropolis.

SCL Health System, a $2.2 billion network that operates nine hospitals, created the joint venture with Univita last March. The two organizations have used the partnership as a way to reduce hospital length of stay, curb unnecessary readmissions and improve patient experience.

During the past year, health systems have increasingly partnered with or acquired hospice and home health companies to provide a more seamless continuum of care.
