Intermountain’s Primary Children’s Medical Center to Change Name

Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City, part of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare, will change its name to Primary Children’s Hospital Oct. 1, according to a KUTV report.

The hospital is reverting to the name it held from 1934 to 1974 because research revealed people did not know the medical center is dedicated exclusively to pediatrics, according to the report.
