Duke to Launch Institute for Health Innovation

Durham, N.C.-based Duke Medicine and Duke University will launch the Duke Institute for Health Innovation in early September, according to a News-Medical report.

The institute will bring together leaders from healthcare, academia, government and industry to develop and test new models of care, train healthcare workers and "apply technology and health policy to improve healthcare access, quality and affordability," according to the report.

The institute will host its first "Summit on Transformative Innovation in Health Care" Sept. 9.
