2 LifePoint Hospitals in Wyoming Conduct Joint Strategic Planning

Lander (Wyo.) Regional Hospital and Riverton (Wyo.) Memorial Hospital — both owned by Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals — are conducting joint strategic planning, according to a Ranger report.

LifePoint Hospitals wanted Lander and Riverton hospitals to strategize together without corporate involvement, according to the report.

Fifteen people from each hospital representing five different staff areas, including general staff, department directors, physicians, executive team members and board members, met Aug. 25 to begin strategic planning, according to the report.

The hospitals identified four areas where they could collaborate: quality of care, information technology, partnering with other healthcare providers and culture change. Four teams with representatives from each hospital will meet over the next couple months to further discuss each of these areas, according to the report.
