Dan Kistner, PharmD. Senior Vice President of Vizient Pharmacy Program (Irving, Texas). In 2016, Dr. Kistner established the GPO PGY-2 Informatics Residency, a program that provides graduated pharmacists both professional and learning opportunities. Throughout his career, he has earned the Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year award from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy for going above and beyond when mentoring students to grow professionally. Dr. Kistner has led teams to promote clinical and financial optimization, which has yielded more than $1 billion in savings combined for various healthcare organizations. He also developed an early opioid utilization management program for a large health plan in 2012 that was successful in lowering the overprescription and overuse of narcotic medications.
