A Los Angeles native, Mr. Katz, 32, started his career in his hometown working for PwC. During his nine years with PwC, he rose through the ranks, taking on various positions in senior management. After leaving PwC, Mr. Katz served as assistant vice president and associate university controller for Los Angeles-based University of Southern California. In his current role, he oversees $1 billion in annual revenue at three of Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System’s hospitals: Long Beach Memorial, Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach and Community Hospital Long Beach.
