Sean Tinney. COO and Senior Vice President of Medical West, an affiliate of the UAB Health System (Bessemer, Ala.). Before being appointed COO and senior vice president for Medical West in 2013, Mr. Tinney, 39, accumulated more than a decade’s worth of administrative experiences in Ascension-affiliated hospitals, including St. Vincent’s Blount in Oneonta, Ala.; St. Vincent’s St. Clair in Pell City, Ala.; and St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham, Ala. He holds a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was named one of the Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2013.
