Amar A. Desai, MD, MPH. CEO for USC Care and Ambulatory Care Services (Los Angeles). For over a decade, Dr. Desai has focused on improving patient care. In his current role, Dr. Desai is responsible for operations of all ambulatory satellites, including hospital-based clinics, Keck School of Medicine department clinics, outpatient joint venture partnerships, community practices, the access center and billing operations. Prior to joining USC, Dr. Desai served as an executive at DaVita Healthcare Partners and as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company, where he was a member of the North American Provider/Payer Practice. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, having completed residency and fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Desai has held faculty appointments at the Stanford School of Medicine and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He currently serves as associate clinical professor of Medicine at Keck School of Medicine at USC.
