Top 15 ’emerging jobs’ for 2020 led by AI, data science, behavioral health

Most of the jobs that have experienced massive growth in the U.S. and continue to show the most potential are in the tech sector, with the role of artificial intelligence specialist experiencing a whopping 74 percent growth in recent years, per a new LinkedIn report.

The 2020 Emerging Jobs report lists the 15 fastest growing job titles in the U.S. between 2015 and 2019, based on an analysis of annual hiring growth rate for all full-time positions listed on LinkedIn’s platform.

Here are the top 15 “emerging jobs” in the country and their annual growth rates:

1. AI specialist: 74 percent

2. Robotics engineer: 40 percent

3. Data scientist: 37 percent

4. Full stack engineer: 35 percent

5. Site reliability engineer: 34 percent

6. Customer success specialist: 34 percent

7. Sales development representative: 34 percent

8. Data engineer: 33 percent

9. Behavioral health technician: 32 percent

10. Cybersecurity specialist: 30 percent

11. Back end developer: 30 percent

12. Chief revenue officer: 28 percent

13. Cloud engineer: 27 percent

14. JavaScript developer: 25 percent

15. Product owner: 24 percent

Of these high-growth roles, the hospital and healthcare industry was listed among the top five industries seeking data engineers, behavioral health technicians and product owners.
