Tampa General Hospital named Consumer Choice winner: 5 things to know

The National Research Corporation has named Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital one of its 2014 to 2015 Consumer Choice Award winners.

Highlighted below are five things to know about this announcement.

1. The annual Consumer Choice Award recognizes hospitals across the country that healthcare consumers report have the highest quality, best reputation and best physicians and nurses.

2. The award has been given for the past 19 years, and this is the tenth consecutive year Tampa General Hospital has won.

3. TGH is the only hospital in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater market that was recognized this year.

4. The hospital is also one of only 19 in the state to win.

5.
