16 Pennsylvania hospitals with the cleanest rooms, as reported by patients

The following is a list of hospitals in Pennsylvania for which 84 percent or more patients reported that their room and bathroom were "always" clean on their HCAHPS surveys.

Data were pulled from CMS' Hospital Compare and is from January 2014 through December 2014, the most recent data available.

For reference, Pennsylvania's average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 74 percent. The national average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is also 74 percent.

Note: Hospitals with insufficient data, such as having fewer than 100 completed surveys, were excluded.

1. Advanced Surgical Hospital (Washington) — 94 percent

2. Meyersdale (Pa.) Medical Center — 92 percent

3. OSS Orthopaedic Hospital (York) — 89 percent

4. Coordinated Health Orthopedic Hospital (Bethlehem) — 88 percent

5. Surgical Specialty Center at Coordinated Health (Allentown) — 88 percent

6. Endless Mountains Health Systems (Montrose) — 88 percent

7. Cancer Treatment Centers of America (Philadelphia) — 87 percent

8. Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital (Bensalem) — 87 percent

9. WellSpan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital (York) — 87 percent

10. Nason Hospital (Roaring Spring) — 86 percent

11. Hanover (Pa.) Hospital — 86 percent

12. Surgical Institute of Reading (Wyomissing) — 86 percent

13. Memorial Hospital (Towanda) — 85 percent

14. Physicians Care Surgical Hospital (Royersford) — 85 percent

15. Tyrone (Pa.) Hospital — 85 percent
