The report is part of iVantage’s Hospital Strength Index for Networks, which compares all U.S. general acute-care hospitals across a range of performance indicators that are based on public data. It is the first rating system to include all of the more than 1,300 critical access hospitals in the country.
iVantage recognized 103 rural hospitals as “health strong,” meaning they are top performers in the overall hospital strength index score. More than 260 hospitals were recognized for excellence in quality, 57 hospitals were recognized for excellence in outcomes and 262 hospitals were recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction.
