Healthcare positions dominate list of most in-demand jobs in 2019

Healthcare professions topped the list of the most in-demand jobs for 2019, according to a recent report from CareerCast.

Healthcare and professional services have historically been the two leading industries in terms of job openings, and healthcare topped the list with the highest percentage of job openings this year. Within healthcare, home health and personal care aides have the highest growth forecasts in 2019. However, both professions have relatively low median salaries compared to other medical jobs.

Of CareerCast’s eight most in-demand jobs for 2019, six positions are in the healthcare field.

4. Medical services manager
5. Medical technologist
6. Nursing assistant
7. Personal care aide
8. Registered nurse
