The ranking comes from the awards program Healthiest Employers, which recognizes 100 U.S. companies each year for outstanding corporate health and wellness policies. Eligible organizations complete an online assessment that evaluates their performance across six “pillars of wellness”: culture and leadership commitment to well-being, foundational components of the health program, strategic planning, communications and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics.
This year’s honorees share certain characteristics, according to Healthiest Employers. All of them utilize specific key performance indicators in the strategic planning of their health and wellness programming; 97% provide tuition reimbursement opportunities to employees; and 96% are incorporating social determinants of health into their programs. In addition, 90% offer a formal mentoring program and 81% are on a hybrid work schedule.
These 15 health systems made the cut and are listed alongside their cross-industry rank out of 100.
