Yale New Haven (Conn.) Hospital has installed the first dual positron emission tomography and magnetic resonance imaging system in Connecticut.
The PET/MRI system — which captures metabolic, molecular and anatomical data through one exam — will be housed within the Adams Neurosciences Center, according to a Sept. 22 news release from Yale New Haven Health.
The Adams Neurosciences Center, also in New Haven, Conn., is expected to begin seeing patients in 2027.
Yale New Haven Hospital previously opened Connecticut’s first MRI center in 1986, the release said.
