WashU Medicine names 2 radiology leaders

St. Louis-based WashU Medicine has named two clinical leaders at its Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology.

Vincent Mellnick, MD, was appointed senior vice chair and division director of academic practice, and Malak Itani, MD, was appointed chief of the abdominal imaging section, according to a July 1 news release from the institute.

Dr. Mellnick previously served as vice chair of academic practice, co-director of emergency radiology, co-director of body CT and chief of abdominal imaging.

Dr. Itani previously served as associate chief of abdominal imaging and director of the ultrasound service.
