Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health St. Luke's hospital opened its new vascular and interventional radiology lab, ABC affiliate KCRG reported Jan. 21.
The lab is part of a $25 million expansion and includes a new CT and fluoroscopy machine.
"Now we can schedule any time of day and do up to maybe five to six CT biopsies a day where we were only able to do two before," Lia Dickes, MSN, RN, manager of vascular and interventional radiology, told KCRG. "I'm so excited to be able to get our patients in quicker and faster to be able to get them answers so we can give them treatment faster."
