U of Utah Health names interim radiology chair

Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Health has named Charles Ray, MD, PhD, as interim chair of the department of radiology and imaging sciences for the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine.

Dr. Ray joined the health system in 2024 after serving as chair of radiology at Chicago-based University of Illinois College of Medicine, according to a Sept. 4 news release from the University of Utah Health.

As chair, he succeeds Satoshi Minoshima, MD, PhD, who led the department for more than a decade. 

Dr. Ray will continue to serve as editor for the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
