Orange, Calif.-based Children’s Hospital of Orange County and Dallas-based University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center are the inaugural recipients of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists’ 2025 BeRAD Professionalism Award.

The award recognizes professionalism, quality, collaboration and patient safety, according to a Sept. 22 news release from Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

The hospitals were chosen for their efforts in “supporting medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals by offering a team approach to patient-centered care, opportunities to earn credentials, continuing education, advanced degrees and to be active in professional associations,” an April 2 ASRT news release said. “In addition, they detailed processes or programs that deliver equitable and accessible patient care, continuous quality improvements and safety of patient care.”

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
