NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue has installed the first of two new CT scanners in its emergency department as part of a nearly $7 million investment.
The investment aims to “support rapid diagnosis and improve patient care.” The emergency department treats approximately 110,000 patients each year, according to an April 23 hospital news release.
The installation is part of a broader system effort to expand its imaging capacity and improve patient flow. A second CT scanner is expected to come online soon, the release said.
