Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health will close its Mercy Diagnostic and Treatment Center in West Seneca when the facility’s lease expires in January 2027, according to a Sept. 1 report from ABC affiliate WKBW.
The closure will affect nuclear medicine, radiology and rehabilitation therapy services at the location. Trinity OB-GYN will not be affected.
Patients affected by the closure are invited to attend a public meeting Sept. 15 at Mercy Hospital, according to the report.
The West Seneca closure is the latest in a series of service consolidations for the system. Catholic Health also closed its Sterling Surgical Center in nearby Orchard Park earlier this year, citing declining patient volume, and previously shuttered the ICU and inpatient services at its St. Joseph campus in Cheektowaga, converting that site to an ambulatory care center.
